Located in Lexington, KY, The Vine Club is a first-to-market members-only social club, located on the top three floors of a multi-family building in Downtown, that brings a club experience that is not centered around golf, tennis, or business to Lexington. The Vine Club provides various types of spaces, from a fine dining restaurant, spa, rooftop pool club, and an event space. The design direction was to create an experience of Elevated Escapism, where members could escape their day to day (and the cold) and have a resort-style experience without leaving Lexington.

Given the scale of the project, and the delivery in phases, an overarching Design Narrative was key to create the aesthetic and storytelling structure for each space to connect with. This allows for each space and experience to be unique, while supporting a larger design vision. Additionally, the organization of the Club allows for multiple events to occur simultaneously while still providing dining & gathering spaces for members.

All aspects of the project were geared towards the relaxed, yet high-end, vacation experience of the Caribbean islands, with many spaces being indoor/ outdoor, and materiality referencing natural textures and materials, like flagstone, stucco, and rubble stone. Design accents referencing marinas, boats, and nautical components were layered in subtle ways to create a refined and nuanced experience.
